Bluewater is set to host a three-day food festival featuring artisan stalls, street food and a line-up of celebrity chefs demonstrating their cooking skills.

The Bluewater Scrumptious Food Festival is set to take place over three days from Saturday, May 25 until Monday, May 27 which is a bank holiday weekend.

The event is set to be one of the “largest food festivals in the region” and Bluewater’s first ever food and drink festival.

Guests will be able to explore a range of artisan stalls and street food market vendors in the 12,000 square foot marque space outside the centre’s village.

Bluewater has confirmed the first line-up of celebrity chefs who will be hosting cooking demonstrations on the “Big Cookery Stage” throughout the weekend.

The first line-up of chefs includes British chef and TV star Rosemary Shrager, Kent-based GBBO 2020 finalist Laura Adlington and ITV Lorraine’s ‘Cake Club Queen’ Suzy Pelta.

The line-up will also include appearances from GBBO 2023’s fan-favourite Saku Chandrasekara, cookbook author and star of GBBO 2014 Chetna Makan, GBBO 2021 finalist Chigs Parmar, and GBBO 2021 semi-finalist and author of ‘German Baking’ Jurgen Krauss.

James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, said: “We have already seen huge interest in our debut food festival following our announcement a few weeks ago, and phase one of the celebrity line-up is sure to appeal to an even wider audience. We are excited to be hosting a range of such talented chefs and bakers here at Bluewater and can’t wait to learn from the professionals.

The line-up of street food vendors will include traders from across the globe including Kent-based Whitstable Oyster Trading Company, and Pakistani street eats from Baba Dhaba.
