Police have issued an update on the condition of a woman after a crash with a moped in Orpington.
The incident happened at the junction of Rutland Way and Chelsfield Lane on February 28 at around 1.30pm.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was initially taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (March 3) that her condition is now stable.
The rider of the moped stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "We were called at 13:32hrs on Wednesday, 28 February to reports of a collision involving a moped and a pedestrian at the junction of Rutland Way and Chelsfield Lane, St Mary Cray.
"Officers responded with paramedics and the pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
"Her next of kin have been informed.
"The rider of the moped stopped at the scene.
"Further enquiries are taking place to establish the circumstances and any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 3561/28Feb."
