A section 35 dispersal order has been authorised by police in a certain area of Bexleyheath.

It has been in place since yesterday (January 22) and will finish at 7pm tomorrow (January 24).

Officers say this is due to recent incidents of anti-social behaviour and disorder.

Section 35 gives a police constable and a community support officer in uniform the power to exclude a person from an area for a period of up to 48 hours with a police inspector’s authority.

Bexley MPS (@MPSBexley) tweeted on X (formerly known as Twitter): “Section 35 Dispersal Zone Authorised by Insp Keen covering the below area. Start: 22/01/24 1900 hours.

“Finish: 24/01/24 1900 hours. This is due to the recent incidents of ASB and disorder.

“Officers will have the power to disperse persons causing ASB in this time.
