FOUR people were rescued from a car following a collision on the Blackwall Tunnel approach road.
Four cars were involved in the incident at about 10.30pm yesterday on the northbound carriageway of the A102.
All of the injured people were trapped inside one car - which was badly damaged.
Two women, aged 30 and 56, and a 25-year-old man were taken to Royal London Hospital with serious injuries.
A baby was also rescued from the car and taken to hospital, but was not thought to be injured.
Firefighters removed the roof to free the passengers, suffering from suspected shock and impact injuries.
The northbound carriageway was closed for about an hour following the incident.
