A FOOTBALL coach from Sydenham found with heroin worth £4.35m stashed in his car has been sentenced to 12 years in jail.
Sean Foster, aged 29, admitted conspiracy to supply class A drugs on March 3 and was sentenced at Croydon Crown Court today (July 18).
A second man, Mylton Demetriou, aged 31, a nightclub promoter from Herne Hill, was found guilty on June 26 of the same charge and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The court heard that when police arrested the two men they found 54 kilos of heroin packed inside two holdalls in the boot of Foster's BMW.
Prior to the arrest in Croydon on October 16 last year, police watched Demetriou transfer a grey holdall from the boot of his VW Golf into the boot of Foster's car.
Officers stopped both cars after they pulled away.
In a search of Foster's home in Thakenham Close, Sydenham, officers found £48,300 cash in a carrier bag inside a wardrobe in his bedroom.
