A man from Sidcup has been charged with nine counts of burglary following a series of break-ins in Dartford.

Between October 24 and November 2, Kent Police received reports of numerous burglaries in Tonbridge and Dartford.

Property stolen included jewellery and cash.

On Tuesday, December 5 Patrick Malone, of Old Maidstone Road in Sidcup, was charged with nine counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.

The 21-year-old appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, December 6.

He was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, January 3 2024.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “A suspect has been charged following a spate of break-ins at homes in west and north Kent.

“Between 24 October and 2 November 2023, Kent Police received reports of several burglaries in Tonbridge and Dartford.

“Property including jewellery and cash was alleged to have been stolen and an investigation was commenced by the Kent Crime Squad.

“On Tuesday 5 December, a man was arrested by Kent Police’s Proactive Targeting Team in Essex.

“Patrick Moloney, of Old Maidstone Road, Sidcup, Greater London was later charged with nine counts of burglary and one attempted burglary.

“The 21-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 6 December. He was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 3 January 2024.”
