A major road closure in Sidcup is set to close for the second time this month in the run-up to Christmas.

National Highways, who is responsible for maintaining England's major roadways, has announced planned closures on the A20 westbound, M25 to Crittalls Corner – which include lane closures as well as the entry slip road.

Crittalls Corner in Sidcup borders the Bexley and Bromley boroughs.

The closure will be in place from 10pm on December 13 to 5am on December 16.

The works are for a sign installation and are predicted to cause delays of 10 to 30 minutes.

There will be diversions via local authority network.

The same road was previously closed between 10pm on December 7 until 5am on December 9 – for the same reason of a sign installation.

National Highways only manages main roads hence local road closures will not feature in this schedule.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
