TODAY is American Independence Day - but what do you think about more independence for the English?
Earlier this week a Conservative taskforce proposed that MPs from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland should have fewer powers over legislation which only affects England.
Measures for England are currently decided by the full parliament in Westminster, and MPs from around the UK can vote.
A Scottish MP is currently able to vote on matters affecting only England, such as university fees, but English MPs do not have the same say on some of the same issues in Scotland.
What do you think? Would a system of English votes for English laws be fairer? Should there be separate parliaments for the four countries in the UK? Or would changes to the current set-up spell the end of the Union?
