A popular pub in Welling has been named as a finalist for a huge national award.
The Guy Earl of Warwick is among six finalists in the running for the best Greene King pub at the Great British Pub Awards.
The Welling pub will be competing against East End Fox in Glasgow, the Carnarvon in Nottinghamshire, Hare and Hound in Birmingham, Lion and Lamb in Essex, and Stag at Lyndhurst in Hampshire.
The Kings Arms in Bexleyheath is also among six finalists in the running to be named best city/urban pub.
It has also been named as a finalist for the category, of best pub for entertainment.
The Guy Earl is regularly praised on TripAdvisor with a rating of 5/5.
One review says: “Great spot for a bit for lunch big beer garden. Got a little kids play area aswell.
“Pubs kept very nice and clean.”
The awards will be held in Manchester on September 19 and will see a special celebrity, yet to be named, host and hand out awards.
