The 2023 London Marathon has gone and passed as thousands took to the streets of the capital to undertake the famous route and thousands of pounds being raised for various charities.
As runners look towards taking a short break from their strict preparation routines, they will be looking toward the future for the 2024 race.
The 2022 and 2023 London Marathon only had a few months' gap following the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
But now, the traditional marathon dates are back on track with a full-year gap in between the races.
When is the 2024 London Marathon?
The 2024 London Marathon is taking place confirmed to be taking place on April 21, 2024.
Ballots for the event are already open, but you don't have long to enter.
How to enter the 2024 London Marathon ballot
You can enter for a ballot position via the London Marathon website for free before 9pm on Friday, April 28 2023.
Anyone that is successfully chosen will have to pay an entry fee of £69.99 to secure your place.
However, entries are chosen at random so there's no guarantee you'll get a space.
You can increase your chances by choosing to donate your entry fee.
