A popular pub in Bexleyheath is the only south London Wetherspoons yet to receive an offer since being put up for sale.

The Wrong Un in Bexleyheath is among four other south London pubs that were put on the market in September 2022.

The Bankers Draft in Eltham, the Asparagus in Battersea, the Capitol in Forest Hill, and the Foxley Hutch in Purley are currently under offer.

Despite offers being made for the pubs, other proposals are still welcome, according to the JW Disposals website.

The Bexleyheath pub is the only south London Wetherspoons that has had no offers since being put up on sale.

A spokesperson for Wetherspoons confirmed there are no closing dates for any of the south London pubs.

Senior director at CBRE, Toby Hall, said the pubs represent an "excellent" opportunity for existing pub operators.

He adds that there are a mix of locations in the portfolio which is rarely seen in the market.

The chain, founded by businessman Tim Martin, operates around 800 pubs around the UK and Ireland.

Wetherspoons spokesman Eddie Gershon said: "On occasion Wetherspoon does put some of its pubs up for sale.

"This is a commercial decision.

"We understand that customers and staff will be disappointed with it.

"The pubs will continue to operate as Wetherspoons outlets until they are sold."

The pubs are currently being marketed by CBRE and Savills, according to The Caterer.
