A REWARD has been offered for information about the killing of two swans.

The Kelsey and Eden Park Safer Neighbourhood Team is offering £600 if those responsible for the killing and mutilation of two seven-month-old cygnets are convicted.

They were attacked in Kelsey Park, Beckenham, at around 5pm on March 5.

Police believe a group of youths aged between 15 and 18 attacked the birds with sticks.

Team head Sergeant Steve King said: "This was a vicious and utterly senseless attack.

"I would appeal for anyone with any information to help in bringing those responsible for this particularly nasty attack on defenceless wildlife to justice."

Businesses in the area have put up cash for the reward.

Anyone with any information should call 020 8721 2616 or the RSPCA hotline on 0300 123 4999.
