Calling all Queens and Revolting Children. Limelight Stage School in Whitstable, Kent is offering two fantastic triple-threat workshops with real choreography from the hit West End musicals ‘Six’ and ‘Matilda’!
Limelight Stage School is a dance company that offers theatre arts tuition to all ages. Limelight holds classes in ballet, tap, modern, singing and keep-fit as well as an annual week-long summer school ending in a costumed production of a Musical Theatre Show.
Laura Murray, the founder and owner of Limelight Stage School, says, “The workshops we are putting on for ‘Six’ and ‘Matilda’ are a platform for children to find their inner performance skills and bring their favourite musical or film to life.”
The two workshops will consist of learning a scene from the scripts and learning a dance and song from the stage show. The ‘Six’ workshop will take place on Saturday 11th February 12-2:30 and will be open for all people aged 11 plus and the ‘Matilda’ workshop will take place on the same day at 3-5:00 and is accessible to all people between the ages of 3-10. However, spaces are limited. Laura Murray describes it as, “A fun two and a half hours or two hours of learning new skills whilst learning a small slice of the professional west end show.”
