Regeneration board appoints new acting CE

AN ACTING chief executive has been appointed to help deliver 30,000 new homes and 50,000 new jobs across north Kent over the next 30 years.
Paul Williams has taken over Michael Ward's position at the Kent Thameside Delivery Board after Mr Ward resigned late last year to become chief executive of the British Urban Regeneration Association.
Sixty-year-old Mr Williams, who is married with two children, moves to the role following a four year spell as the delivery board's environmental manager. He will take charge until a permanent replacement is found.
He said: "There is still a great deal to be done and I aim to utilise the momentum that has now built up. I am committed to ensuring that the development here meets the needs of the existing community as well as delivering the very highest quality of development."
