YOUNGSTERS hopped down to a nature park for a day of fun to celebrate frogs.
Frog quiz trails and treasure hunts were among the many themed activities at Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park, in John Harrison Way, on Sunday.
Around 450 visitors attended Frog Day, which was held in part to draw attention to the plight of the creatures both in this country and worldwide.
Joanne Smith, senior warden at the park, which is run by the Trust for Urban Ecology (TRUE), said: "It's to celebrate frogs and to highlight the fact they are suffering in this country.
"A mixture of red leg disease and habitat loss is affecting frog numbers."
The park's frogs emerge from their winter sleep in early March to lay frogspawn in the pools and ponds, and on Sunday children used nets for the first pond dip of the year.
