A ONE way system is to be brought in to allow traffic to flow easier around Poverest Primary School in Orpington.
Bromley Council agreed to introduce the change after concerns about safety were raised by parents, pupils and staff at the school in Tillingbourne Green, Orpington.
The one way system will run along Tillingbourne Green between the junctions with Church Hill Wood and Lee Green.
Vehicles will only be able to enter from Church Hill Wood.
Parents picking up children by car currently enter the narrow Tillingbourne Green from both ends, which causes difficulty for vehicles trying to pass each other.
Portfolio holder for environment and leisure Councillor Colin Smith, who approved the one way system, said: "This is part of an ongoing programme to improve safety around schools and reduce congestion. "
