THE Town and Country Planning Association addressed a committee of MPs at Westminster to push the case for eco-towns in the south east of England last week.
It highlighted how the development of new homes in such towns must focus on issues such as winter floods, summer droughts and poor air quality.
Chief executive Gideon Amos said: "We must plan for and adapt to regional climatic variation, ensuring sustainable housing growth and eco-towns are founded on the best environmental data built to zero-carbon standards."
