A HOUSE made out of newspapers was unveiled on Sunday.
Members of the public were invited to help construct a house out of discarded newspapers as part of an artist's installation.
The brain behind the project, which aims to raise awareness of the environmental impact of littered newspaper across London, is Cyprus-born sculptor and installation artist Sumer Erek.
Working with Schenk Architects, Sumer invited the public to assist him in creating the £25,000 Newspaper House in Gillett Square, Dalston.
Helpers could leave messages, questions and thoughts on the rolled up newspapers used to build the house.
More than 150,000 rolled up newspapers were donated.
Sumer explained: "News defines our era and information technology is the dominating part of our existence.
"Paper makes a direct relationship with our environment, and a house ties all the things together."
