A HEADTEACHER met the Prime Minister at Downing Street to celebrate his success as a school leader.
Frank Green of the Leigh Technology Academy, Green Street Green Road, Dartford, was one of 90 headteachers invited to Number 10 last Thursday to recognise their success in improving struggling schools.
Mr Green was commended by Gordon Brown and Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families Ed Balls for his school's improvement and assistance in improving others.
The 57-year-old says: "It makes me enormously proud for the Leigh Technology Academy and the community of Dartford our transformation and role in transforming other schools has been nationally recognised."
Leigh Technology Academy is part of the National College for School Leadership programme which supports struggling schools.
The scheme has improved exam results at the schools involved since it started in 2006.
