SMOKERS wanting to quit can speak to advisers across North Kent today as part of National No Smoking Day.
West Kent Primary Care Trust will be setting up information stands at Asda in Swanley, the Priory Centre in Dartford and The Grand in Gravesend.
Advisers will be on hand from 10am to 4pm to offer details of what services are available to help people quit.
Research shows smokers are four times more likely to succeed in giving up if they get support from the NHS.
The trust's deputy director of public health, Dr Brendan O'Connor, said: "I hope people will use National No Smoking Day as an opportunity to find out what support is available to help them stop smoking."
