A MOTHER has been cautioned after abandoning her baby in a shop and trying to use a forged credit card.

The 29-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man ran from Marks & Spencer, High Street, Bromley, at around 6.54pm yesterday (February 21) after staff challenged them about the card.

They were arrested on suspicion of deception and both the woman from Balham and the man from Brixton have been given a caution for attempted fraud by false representation.

A 27-year-old man from Walworth came forward and told police he was the seven-month-old girl's father at 4.30am today (February 22).

Police have confirmed that he is but the baby is still in care.

How very sad. Let's hope police reunite the baby with her "real" parents.

It seems such a shame that good, hardworking and decent couples who are unable to have children experience such a hard time trying to adopt when scumbags like these can have children and then abandon or abuse them at the earliest opportunity.

I think this subject would make a good future blog.

That is awful the poor baby, some people want locking up and the key throwing away. I have got many friend's who are trying for babies and are less fortunate for whatever reason cannot have a baby and then you get scumbads like these (so sad)

And how would you implement that? Perhaps a similar birth control as done in China? Heaven help us!

This statement was meant for those parents who fail to look after their children properly. The Chinese one child policy would led to more children being abandoned like this poor child. “The social pressure exerted by the one-child policy has affected the rate at which parents abandon undesirable children, and many live in state-sponsored orphanages.”

If the poor babys parents are drug addicts for alcoholics they should put the poor baby in foster care for the babys safety and well being. The do gooders must put the poor babys safety and well being first. Oherwise who knows what will happen to this poor child if left in there care.
