A MOTHER has been cautioned after abandoning her baby in a shop and trying to use a forged credit card.
The 29-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man ran from Marks & Spencer, High Street, Bromley, at around 6.54pm yesterday (February 21) after staff challenged them about the card.
They were arrested on suspicion of deception and both the woman from Balham and the man from Brixton have been given a caution for attempted fraud by false representation.
A 27-year-old man from Walworth came forward and told police he was the seven-month-old girl's father at 4.30am today (February 22).
Police have confirmed that he is but the baby is still in care.
