A teenager from Eltham has revealed he makes £200,000 a year by selling vintage boots to professional football stars.

Will Amis launched his boots business in Lewisham called Classix Collection in August 2021.

The 18-year-old’s hobby of searching and collecting classic boots while growing up became a full-time job.

He said that he wanted to get into the football selling business rather than continue with education.

Will said: "My parents were massively supportive when I decided to get into the football selling business.

“My dad is the one who got me into football as I wore his first-ever pair of boots.

"Their support pushed and motivated me to do better and bigger things."

After revealing that he sold his first pair of boots at 15-years-old, the News Shopper asked Will what his favourite boots were when growing up.

He recommends the Adidas Predator Powerswerves which are worth around £300 to £400 depending on the size.

These Adidas classics have been worn by the likes of David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, and Zinedine Zidane over the years.

Will said: “The Adidas Powerswerves were the first pair I had when I first started to collect boots.

“They’re an all-time classic.

“These boots also mean a lot to me because some of the best players in the world have worn them.”

Will revealed that the most expensive pair of boots he has sold were the Nike Mercurial 1998 for £8,000.

These famous classics were worn by the Brazilian Ronaldo during the final of the FIFA World Cup in 1998.

Will explained: “These are top boots and the most popular ones.

“They’re very popular because of the photo Ronaldo took with them at the 1998 World Cup final where he had the boots tied around his neck.

“They have such a great history behind them.”

Will also revealed that he sells around 150 to 200 pairs of boots making around £40,000 per month.

He said that he makes nearly £200,000 a year depending on sales.

A sports company called Number 10 in Abu Dhabi showed an interest in buying boots from Will.

The company now sells the boots that Will finds to players across the globe.

Will said: "The first professional footballer I’ve sold to was Lyle Taylor and my first Premier League client was Declan Rice.

"I’ve sold to other players such as Maitland Nyles, John Terry, Marcelo Flores and Rodrigo De Paul.

"Since then, the business has grown."
