Drugs may be behind stabbing

THE stabbing of an 18-year-old man in a flat in Bromley Common may have been a dispute over drugs.

A resident who lives in a neighbouring flat told the News Shopper that people in flat regularly stay up throughout the night taking drugs.

A man was taken to hospital early yesterday morning after being stabbed in the chest.

The incident happened in a flat in Crown Lane, Bromley.

Police were called to the address at 12.51am on Saturday and the man was taken to a south London hospital.

His condition is said to be stable.

Five people were arrested at the scene but were all released without charge shortly afterwards.

Bromley CID are investigating and are keeping an open mind about motive.

A neighbour who did not want to be named said: "There is a lot more to the story.

"There is bound to be drugs involved.

"There are always people there during the night taking drugs."
