An awards ceremony will take place to celebrate the achievements of high street businesses in Bexleyheath.

The awards, organised by Bexleyheath Business Improvement District (BID), will also offer businesses the chance to focus on plans to grow and improve their credibility.

The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Signature Dining by Pure in Bexleyheath.

A spokesperson for Bexleyheath BID said entering business for the awards scheme is a great way to boost morale and motivate members of staff.

The spokesperson added: “The last two years have been some of the hardest that bricks and mortar retail and commercial businesses have had to endure.

"Therefore, this event will recognise and celebrate the achievements and innovation of local individuals and companies."

The nominees will be shortlisted through the BID website and winners will be selected following a judging process with a panel of business leaders.

Caron Linyard, town centre manager of Bexleyheath BID said: “This is one of the very few occasions in the last few years our local community will be able to come together in person, to catch up with each other and to make new connections.

“We are very much looking forward to the event and urge as many different businesses as possible to get involved.”

The event is also supported by Bexley Council, European Regional Development Fund, and HM Government.

The finalists can look forward to an evening of live entertainment and a three-course meal.

You can nominate a local business by visiting www.enjoybexleyheath.co.uk/awards.

Nominations will close on Monday, February 28, and finalists are announced on March 18.
