FOUR Amazon apprentices from south east London are encouraging others to join them after the firm announced new roles to its apprenticeship programme.

The four apprentices, Nyakeh Richards, Tyrell Bibbiani, Tallulah Weaver and Rebecca Mohan currently all work for Amazon.

The programme will expand into 1,500 full-time positions across the UK in 2022 including more than 200 degree-level apprenticeships.

The scheme focuses on environmental, social, and corporate governance while giving apprentices the opportunity to gain “real-world” experience.

Nyakeh, from Crayford, who works as a data analyst apprentice said: “I love maths, analysing data and using technology and creative thinking to solve problems.

“I hope to become a data scientist with the company one day.

“One of the things I love about Amazon is how there are lots of different businesses within the company, so I’m spoilt for choice in terms of career paths.”

Tyrell, from Kent, who works as a Broadcast Production apprentice said: “The apprenticeship has opened me up to the world of media production and I couldn’t be happier.

“The team encourages me to explore other aspects of the industry and I have built up some amazing contacts which I would never have had exposure to if it wasn’t for this apprenticeship.”
