A 13-YEAR-OLD girl had a pair of scissors "stuck in the back of her head" after an incident at a school in Orpington this morning.

Police were called to Priory School in Tintagel Road at 10.50am after the incident during an humanities lesson.

A sixth-form girl, 17, said: "A boy and girl were having an argument, the girl threw a paper ball at the boy and the boy threw scissors back and they stuck in the back of her head."

A 17-year-old boy, another sixth-former at the school, added: "One of the teachers said 'Are you alright?' and she couldn't speak.

"She got in the ambulance and there were scissors in the back of her head and you could only see the handle."

The girl was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. She has since been released.
