A 60-year-old is fighting for his life after being struck by an SUV which fled the scene in New Cross.

The victim, a pedestrian, was hit at around 9.10pm by a black SUV on Vesta Road on Monday November 1.

He was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital, where his condition is described as life-threatening.

Police are attempting to trace the vehicle and driver, and are particularly keen to hear from witnesses who have dash cam footage, or residents with CCTV cameras that may have captured images of the vehicle.
