FREE kitchen caddies are being delivered to homes affected by new recycling collections.
All the caddies will be delivered by Sunday.
From January 21, Greenwich Council will be introducing weekly kerbside recycling collections of food and garden waste in green-top wheelie bins and card, paper, glass, cans and plastic in blue-top wheelie bins.
Anything which cannot be recycled will be collected fortnightly in black bags.
The kitchen caddy is small enough to stand on a kitchen worktop so families can collect their food waste in it before emptying it into a green-top wheelie bin for weekly recycling collections.
All cooked and uncooked food can be recycled but should not be put in plastic bags, as plastic is not biodegradable and cannot be composted with the food.
Garden waste can also be put in the green-top wheelie bins for composting.
