A woman has been charged with murder after a 66-year-old man from Lewisham was stabbed to death.
Police were called to a multi-occupancy home in Ringstead Road in Catford on Saturday (August 18) at 4am to reports of a stabbing.
The victim, who police believe is called Leroy Junior Edwards, was found with stab wounds to the neck and chest before he died in hospital a short time later.
Kerry Donovan, 29, was arrested in Basildon on suspicion of murder on Sunday (August 19) and will appear at the Old Bailey on August 23.
DCI Simon Pickford, who is leading the investigation, said: “Although we have made one arrest already in connection to this murder, we are still keen to hear from anyone who was in the area that may have heard or seen anything.
“No matter how insignificant you think the information might be, it is all useful to our investigation.”
Anyone with information should contact the incident room on 0208 358 0100 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
