A man, 29, is due to appear in court today charged with attempting to murder members of the public and police officers after a suspected terror attack.
The incident happened near Parliament on Tuesday (August 14) when a car crashed into barriers outside the Palace of Westminster.
Salih Khater, of Highgate Street, Birmingham, was arrested at the scene and is facing two counts of attempted murder.
The Sudanese-born British citizen is alleged to have drove into pedestrians and cyclists before swerving towards police officers.
Three people were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Prosecutors are relating the incident to terrorism because of the method of attack, the targets and the location.
