A SPIRITUAL leader recognised for her work fostering peace and harmony between diverse religions is visiting the area.
Mata Amritanandamayi - known as Amma - has won international awards for peace and is recognised by the United Nations for her work helping to provide hospital access to people living in poverty.
Amma is appearing at Crystal Palace Sports Centre Ledrington Road, Upper Norwood, London on October 9, 10 and 11 to further her mission to spread unconditional love, regardless of belief.
The internationally recognised humanitarian from Kerala in south India is famed for giving hugs - known as darshan - which have a reputation for comforting, consoling and uplifting the receiver.
Her annual visit to London is expected to attract thousands of people from across Europe.
The free event includes teachings and meditation as well as the opportunity to receive Amma's personal blessing and a hug.
