A sneaky Snapchat privacy setting could be putting you children at serious risk to strangers.
Snapchat is the app that lets you send photos to your friends that only last for 10 seconds before they disappear.
However, did you know that anyone can find your child's exact location, down to the road that they live in?
We tried it at News Shopper, and the app was able to locate us down to the exact building and road we were in with ridiculous clarity.
Children as young as seven use the app on a daily basis but anyone can now see where they are.
How do I find out?
Open Snapchat and you’ll be on the screen to take a photo.
Pinch the screen
A map will appear with your exact location.
This feature does not need activating it is on without asking you for permission.
But, you can turn this off when on the map screen, if you don’t then you can be seen by anyone and everyone.
Please stay extra vigilant when it comes to children on social media.
