Bexley police has released CCTV footage appearing to show a shockingly brazen daylight theft of a car in Belvedere.
The driver was seen pulling up to the kerb before heading towards a property, walking away from her car while the engine was running.
A man who was strolling along the road then leapt into the car and drove off.
Police say the woman's purse was in the car when it was taken and her credit Card was used in a nearby shop a short while later.
The car has since been recovered after the incident on afternoon of July 1 in Shortlands Close.
