Emergency services have been called to Woolwich town centre this afternoon where people feared a stabbing had taken place.
One witness described the scene in General Gordon Square as having "the most blood he had ever seen."
But a Met Police spokesman has said that there was no stabbing.
"We were called to Vincent Road by London Ambulance Service at 5.11pm," the spokesman said.
"Upon arrival we found that a person was unconscious."
LAS have been contacted for further comment.
