A pedestrian in her 70s has died after being hit by a lorry in Petts Wood.
Emergency services were called to St John's Road at 9.15am.
A police spokesman said: "Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Her next-of-kin have been informed."
The lorry driver stopped at the scene and no arrests have been.
Road closures are in place and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting 1876/14AUG or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
St Johns Road has now re- opened.
