A woman who was walking with her young son was attacked before being robbed of her gold necklace in Gravesend.

The victim, who is in her 40s, told officers she was approached by the suspect in Milton Road near the junction with Berkeley Road at around 6.30pm on August 4.

She was approached by him who assaulted her and pulled a gold necklace from around her neck, a Kent Police spokesman said.

The man is described as being white, around 6ft tall, and in his 30s. He was wearing a grey top with his hood up and a blue t-shirt underneath.

He was also wearing light blue denim jeans and white shoes.

Now police are appealing for any witnesses who could come forward to help with the investigation.
