A cocaine and cannabis dealer who preyed on a vulnerable man to run a drug operation out of his home has been put behind bars.

Luftur Rahman, 28, of Savoy Road, Dartford, took over the man's flat and stashed his supply, as well as cash and mobile phones, inside.

The operation was uncovered when the victim's mum went to visit the flat and reported what she had seen to police.

Officers from the Operation Raptor team, which investigates violent crime in Kent, searched the flat to find the evidence.

During the investigation, the victim moved out of the flat, but the dealer teamed up with another man to hunt him down.

They found the victim's new address and banged on the front door to try and get him to come out.

Rahman was eventually arrested on July 3 after being stopped in a car in Chatsworth Road, Dartford.

Another man in his 40s was also arrested and is under investigation.

Rahman was jailed for four-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply.

Detective Constable Terence Hanlon said: "Rahman deliberately targeted a vulnerable young man in order to occupy his flat to use it as a base for selling drugs.

"Not only did he store drugs in the flat but he got keys cut to allow himself to come and go as he liked and put the victim is a difficult position.

"I would encourage people to look out for others in your community to ensure vulnerable people are not taken advantage of and if you see anything you feel is suspicious then to report it right away."
