A Greenwich drug dealer who sold cocaine and heroin from a flat in Kent has been jailed for four years.

Jamie Fitzpatrick, 21, of Barge Walk, was stopped and searched by officers who spotted him acting suspiciously outside the property in Gillingham on March 28.

He was found to be in possession of five small packets of heroin and four of cocaine, and admitted to having more inside the flat.

A search of the property was carried out and officers found two bags hidden beneath a pillow, which contained a total of 87 packets of heroin and 125 of cocaine.

Fitzpatrick was arrested and later charged with two counts of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

He pleaded guilty to both offences and was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court.

Also arrested at the flat was 47-year-old Phillip Thomas, who admitted a charge of allowing his premises to be used in the supply of Class A drugs.

Sentencing in his case was adjourned until September 17.

Investigating officer PC George Shokar said: "Jamie Fitzpatrick was responsible for running what is known as a county drugs line, which refers to the practice of mainly London drug dealers travelling to other areas in order to expand their customer base.

"We at Kent Police have made no secret of the fact that criminals like him are not welcome here, and we will continue to target others like him who seek to benefit from the pain and anguish caused by the supply of Class A drugs."
