Bromley police officers rescued a dog which was trapped inside a van with no windows open this afternoon.
A member of the public alerted police to the van at Bromley town centre car park.
Officers decided the safest option was to smash the windows to ensure the dog was safe.
A Bromley police officer told News Shopper: “The window was smashed so that the dog could be removed from the hot van and the driver has been given suitable words of advice by the attending officers.”
Bromley MPS tweeted this afternoon saying it's 30 degrees outside and explaining how they had no other choice but to break the van windows.
