Police are investigating the cause of a shed fire in Bexley which reportedly could have caused an explosion.
The fire, on Torbrook Close, broke out shortly before 6pm on Wednesday evening.
Four fire crews from Erith, Plumstead, Bexley and Sidcup attended the scene and battled it for more than two hours.
While on the scene, firefighters had to remove a 25kg butane cylinder as a precaution, in case it exploded due to heat exposure.
The shed and a fence were completely destroyed by the fire. Some of the outer features on the house the shed belonged to were also damaged.
Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control by 8.16pm.
The London Fire Brigade and Met Police are investigating how the fire started.
