Team Bromley have once again won the London Youth Games after a victory on the final day against Team Hackney.
It is the third year in a row Team Bromley lifted the Jubilee Trophy, after securing medals in the diving, aquathon, squash and indoor rowing competitions.
Susana Tavares, Bromley’s team organiser, said: “Everyone worked really hard; the boys and girls were fantastic.
“The wonderful work team managers do is valuable and really comes through in the results achieved.
“Thank you to London Youth Games Foundation for another year of great sports for young Londoners, thank you to all the parents who supported their children and a very big thank you to all team managers for volunteering their time and energy in managing the teams.”
The dramatic final day of the London Youth Games took place at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre on Sunday (July 8).
Councillor Michael Rutherford, a representative of Proactive Bromley, told News Shopper: “I was at the finals weekend and was very proud of our young people - it was great to see the passion and dedication of all that took part. Everyone gave it their all, of all abilities.
“I was delighted to see our young people competing together, notably in the indoor rowing where disabled and able-bodied participants took part in the same competition.”
