The owners of a stud farm in Horton Kirby have been banned from building on the site after they tried to build five buildings without planning permission.

William Cook, his son of the same name and Gavin Dunn, who own the Oakview Stud Farm, were served a High Court injunction on Thursday, July 12, after council planners were made aware of their actions.

The injunction prevents any buildings, sheds, or structures and fencing being put up on the site.

The owners are also banned from bringing building materials onto the stud farm.

If the conditions of the injunction are breached, the owners could face up to two years in jail or an unlimited fine for contempt of court.

Cllr Robert Piper, of Sevenoaks Council, said: “The council will always work with landowners to ensure planning law is abided by but we are equally committed to taking action against those who deliberately make no effort to comply with the regulations.

“This is an example of the thorough work by our determined officers taking early steps to stop an unauthorised development before it happens.”
