Six fire crews were called to a fire in Dartford last night, as firefighters tackled the blaze for more than two hours.
While the crews battled the grassland fire on a patch near Cotton Lane and Chapel Drive, nearby residents were urged to keep doors and windows closed.
The fire, which broke out shortly after 7pm, was under control by 9.30pm, but firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service stayed at the scene for an hour to ensure it was completely out.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
At the time of writing, the cause of the fire is unknown.
