For some yesterday it was a real rush to make it home to get a prime spot on the sofa or at the pub ahead of the England v Croatia game.

Transport companies including Southern Rail warned commuters that rush hour would come an hour early due to the rush of fans to see the game at 7pm.

However, before the game started it seemed that at least one commuter didn’t appear to be willing to queue to get home, they just knew they had to rush.

This video was taken just by Sainsbury’s towards the Hall roundabout in Northfleet yesterday afternoon.

We understand that England getting to the World Cup semi-final is a big, exciting moment, but did it warrant driving on the pavement to get home quicker?
