A man has been taken to hospital after an air ambulance was called to Northfleet.

Emergency services attended London Road shortly after 6pm on Tuesday to reports of a man who was injured.

The man was assessed by paramedics at the scene before being taken to King's College Hospital by road.

A spokesman from South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed: "I can confirm ambulance crews attended London Road, Northfleet, following reports of a injured man shortly after 6pm.

"The air ambulance service joined us at the scene. The man was assessed and treated before being taken to Kings College Hospital by road.

"The air ambulance service team joined us in the ambulance to help treat the patient en route."

A Kent Polise spokesman said: "Police were called to London Road, Northfleet, at 5.53pm on Tuesday 26 June 2018.

"A man with injuries was treated at the scene by South East Coast Ambulance Service and was taken by land ambulance to a London hospital.

"Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing."

He added that nobody else was involved in the incident.
