Bromley Police is investigating a criminal damage case in Locksbottom after being called to reports of a shooting.
Officers arrived in Crofton Road at around 10.45pm on Thursday (June 21) after people reported hearing loud bangs.
A spokesman from the Met Police said the noise was not caused by gun shots but from "ball bearings fired from a catapult".
The window of one restaurant was damaged.
The spokesman added: "A second restaurant in the same road also had similar damage. These incidents are being treated as criminal damage.
"Officers from Bromley are investigating and no arrests have been made."
