A 61-year-old man has died after being hit by a train at Crayford train station.
Trains were suspended between Sidcup and Crayford after the incident occurred on Tuesday morning.
British Transport Police were called to Crayford station at 11.03am to reports of someone being struck by a train.
A BTP spokesperson has confirmed the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious and his family has been informed.
Ben, from Welling, who drove past the station shortly after 11am, told News Shopper he saw crowds of people standing around the bridge at the station.
"I saw six or seven police cars, two police vans, a fire engine, and crowds of people standing around overlooking the bridge."
At the time, a Southeastern spokesman told News Shopper the Sidcup line would be disrupted until further notice while emergency services dealt with the incident.
He confirmed all trains between Sidcup and Crayford were at a standstill, but some other trains on the line appeared to be moving.
