McDonald's in Erith might be extending its opening times to 24 hours a day, if plans are approved by Bexley Council.

An application to extend the hours for the Erith branch of the fast-food chain has been submitted.

Erith McDonald's, in James Watt Way, was first built in 1993.

It already extended its opening hours in 2013 to serve between 6am and 11pm from Monday to Sunday. These hours were made permanent in 2015.

According to the application, submitted by Savills on behalf of McDonald's, the request for 24-hour service is "required to ensure that the restaurant better meets the needs of its established customer base and enhance its overall efficiency."

In particular, it is thought a 24-hour McDonald's will serve shift workers and taxi drivers, as well as passers-by.

Do you think this McDonald's should be made 24-hour? Let us know.
