Children in Greenwich got the chance to play superhero with the local police.
Posters advertising the first Superheroes Day were drawn by the children of James Wolfe School.
The event on June 9 in Greenwich Park was organised by the Greenwich West Safer Neighbourhood Team and encouraged children to come dressed as their favourite superheroes.
Prizes for the best fancy dress were donated by Sainsbury’s and Greenwich Museums with each superhero child getting a Happy Meal superhero figure from McDonalds in Charlton.
The Greenwich Police Cadets were also there for the young superheroes with a drumming display and badges for the children.
