Two teenagers have been arrested after a high-speed chase through Lewisham which involved the use of mopeds, helicopters and police dogs.
Met Police said the 15 and 16 year old boys were travelling on a moped armed with weapons.
The chase began on George Lane in Hither Green at around 1.45pm yesterday (June 5) and kicked off a cross-borough chase.
Police helicopters were spotted in Catford, Lewisham, Brockley and many other surrounding towns with roads being temporarily closed as the police closed in on the duo.
Police believe the two were involved in a series of attempted moped robberies in Springbank Road and surrounding areas in Hither Green on Monday.
The chase ended with one of the riders being chased down a police dog unit and the two were arrested on suspicion of a series of robberies, driving offences and possession of an offensive weapon.
They remain in custody in a south London police station.
